Yemeni President arrives in Asmara on an official visit By

Asmara, 9 July 2006 -
The president of Yemen, H.E. Ali Abdellah Salih arrived in
Asmara today on a two-day official visit to the country. The
Yemeni presidents visit comes upon an invitation extended to
him by H.E. president Isaias Afwerki.

University of Asmara graduates 36th batch

Asmara, 8 July 2006 The University of Asmara today graduated
1,202 students in Masters Degree, Degree, Diploma and
certificate programs in different fields.
The 36th batch includes 948 students in first degree, 183 in
advanced diploma, 26 in diploma and 45 in Masters Degree out
of which 27 attended the courses within the universitys
capacity while the remaining had been corresponding with Stony
Brook University in the United States and South African
university.

Ambassador to Khartoum requested a meeting with President Al-Bashir
Khartoum, 5 July (SUNA)-
..to convey a message from the Eritrean President with the aim
to inform him that the preparations are progressing as
scheduled for the next session of negotiations. He affirmed
stability of the security situation in east Sudan, saying that
according to the agreement and the mediator, no force is
allowed to affect the stability in the East, including the

hold meetings in Khartoum in July as result of the amelioration on bilateral
ties with the Eritrean government
According to a report published by the pro Ethiopian ruling party
Walta, Sudan has informed four Eritrean
opposition organizations who had scheduled their congresses in Khartoum in
July that it will not provide them with meeting venues in Sudan.

Ethiopia announced today that 111 rebels have been killed in
Amhara regional state; accusing them of realizing the Eritrean
government objectives. Anti-peace elements who have been
