	Reconstruction of Dirko Micro-dam finalized By Shabait.com Aug 24, 2006, 17:47 Emni-Haili, 24 August 2006 - The reconstruction project of Dirko micro-dam in Emni-Haili sub-zone, Southern region, at a cost of 10 million Nakfa has been finalized. The Minister of Public Works, Mr Abraha Asfaha, inaugurated the newly reconstructed dam on August 22. The dam that sustained extensive damage in 2005 due to heavy rains has now a capacity of holding 720,000 cubic meters of water. So far, it has managed to hold 5,000 cubic meters in this year’s rainy season.
