International scholarly attention and support is the
goal. International Task Force on Eritrea Meskerem 3-1-2010: The spokesman of the The International Task Force on Eritrea told meskerem that one of the main objectives of the International Task Force on Eritrea is to bring into the open, in the international arena, the issue of the illegal and unjust sanctions against the Eritrean people and nation. To this end, the Task Force is discussing and negotiation with prominent professors in international law in the US, Canada and Europe, including, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Georgetown University in Washington, DC and Brown University in New York. A highly respected think tank organization in Belgium has also been approached. The Task Force intends to host a high level international conference this summer with the goal of garnering support for the Eritrean people in their just struggle to challenge and overcome the sanctions. Sponsorship for such a conference is being sought, he said. |
