2006 - An 11 km-long road linking Adi-Akilas with
Adi-Hasero in Emni Haili sub-zone, Southern
region, has been repaired through popular
campaign. The Administrator of the sub-zone, Ms.
Luul Asrat, said that the road has now been
widened by 8 meters and is already rendering
efficient transport service.

Ministers is today holding discussions on the
nation’s development plan for 2006 and its
implementation.

....Cumulatively, when 80% of the national
budget of a given African country is covered by foreign
assistance, simply because a given nation has hoisted high
its flag or its citizens hold authority, is it possible to
conclude that such a country is independent? Can we assert
there really exist governments in Africa in general? What
brought about the demise of their survival? Why should aid
replace national policies and NGOs take the seat of
government? These questions need to be answered.....

Ethiopian army suffered to more defections (a general and a
colonel) to the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF). A similar
defection took place last month.
